I know that pen drive or usb drive stops working after some time but how do I know my pen drive's health, is there any way to determine it if my pen drive is going to die soon ?

I am worried because there is one mass storage or pen drive I frequently use, it is now showing some problem, when I copy data, its first half is copied instantly and for rest there is no progress and after 1-2 minute then its done. If I copy that data from pen drive to computer then it works normally..

Is it sign of my pen drive is dying or about to die ?

Every USB drive has limited number of read and write cycle, generally normal user can't exhaust it unless he is using it as some swap or active device with OS. But as you said, writing or copying files hangs , it could be sign of dying of the device.

Same problem is with my pd it it's also hanging on coping files, I ignore it , i thing that it is because of over data but after some time it will dead .
so finally i mean that your pd is showing sing of dead.
