My father has a Sony Vaio E Series SVE1513CYNB laptop (as written on its back panel). I asked my friend to make it faster, he said that I have very limited RAM and to increase speed I need to add more RAM. currently this lappy has only 2GB RAM. So he advised to upgrade to 8GB but says he is not sure if my laptop supports 8GB ram.

Here I am now asking question about my need.

1. Can this laptop support 8 GB RAM ?
2. Can I add two RAM sticks of 4 GB each or 8 GB single stick ?
3. Suggest me best and affordable brand to buy ram.

If you look over Sony website, it clearly says that your Laptop does support 8GB RAM but only maximum 8GB. It means that you can have 2 sticks of 4GB each. From Sony support website: "2 GB (2 GB (SO-DIMM) x 1) DDR3 SDRAM*2 (upgradeable up to 8 GB*3)"

I think you should go and buy 4GB RAM and add it on your empty slot, you will have total 6GB RAM, far more than you have at the moment.
