• Honda Brio Car diesel version coming in 2012

    Advert.
Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) will soon introduce a diesel variant of it's Honda Brio. The company had initially planned to launch the new diesel variant of Brio in 2013 but the marketing & strategic planning team of the company decided that they will launch this car in 2012. Due to continuous increase in petrol prices, automobile companies are bringing diesel versions of their car models as early as possible in order to cash the business opportunity.

If some reports are to believed then HSCI will most probably introduce the diesel version of Honda Brio hatchback around the festive season this year. The introduction of diesel variant of Brio will be first and it will be followed by introducing diesel variants of Honda Jazz hatchback and City sedan in India.

The company was forced to introduce variants of their cars because in 2011 the car sales for Honda tumbled by 27%. The prime reason for this downfall in sales was absence of any diesel variants of their car in the Indian market.

Honda has ambitious plans for 2012 which includes launching diesel variants of their cars as early as possible in India markets. The new Brio will face tough competition from diesels versions of Chevrolet Beat, Toyota Etios Liva, Hyundai i10 and Maruti Suzuki Ritz
