Can we register a newly purchased house in the name of both husband and wife?

Hi everyone !!!

I have purchased a house In Agra which is yet to get registered, I want to register the house in the name of both, Me and my Husband. Can we do so????

And if yes we can do so, can both of us get Income Tax exemption on the account of interest paid for Home Loan under the Income Tax Act, 1961.

I need your assistance on this topic, kindly help!!!!

Yes you can register the house in the name of more than one persons, and as far as income tax exemption is concerned plz specify whether you have taken a home loan on construction of property or purchase of land, only then i will be able to help you......
