Regarding engine power & gross weight of ertiga vdi model

SIR,

I have a doubt regarding the following aspects.

ERTIGA VDI

Ertiga is mounted with the same engine of swift Dzire, when compared its gross body weight is 800kgs more than dzire & its seating capacity is 7.Can we expect the said mileage & performance of the engine as quoted by the company. I want to go for this vehicle so please clear my doubt.

Well, on diesel as per I read somewhere, diesel version give you top speed of around 168kmph and can go 0-100kmph in 14.30seconds and overall mileage / average of this car on diesel is 15kmpl.
Because its running 1.3 Multijet diesel engine from Fiat , mileage as compared to swift is lesser because of its increased weight to power ratio.

It is not the same engine as the dZire so you can go for it without thinking.The 100cc additional displacement will take care of the 800 kgs and the 2 added seats very well.
