Hi, M prashant. My passport is valid till May 2021. I have applied for renewal of passport for change of address in Apr 15 and i had an appointment in PSK pune on 5 May 15. As i didn't have proper documents my appointment got rescheduled in Jul 15. But i am not in a position to go for my Jul 15 appointment and have to travel abroad for my urgent official work.

My query is " Whether can i travel abroad with the existing passport (i am in a possession of application number for renewal of passport) or i have to cancel my application for passport appointment"?? I have been told that i can not cancel my application and i have to wait till i avail all 3 three chances?? Whether can i cancel my appointment, if so pls tell me how....

This means that i can not travel abroad as i have applied for renewal of passport and could not finish the formalities..

Please guide me. M in big dilema.

Your passport is valid till 2021 but you have applied for change in Address on April 5th, 2015. Technically you still have valid passport. For change of address, you just have asked for re-issue of passport and since your old passport has not yet expired, its valid.

Have never been in such situation but I think you should call passport seva kendra to clarify it as you are traveling abroad. So call on following number :
