No, Courtship period is actually the time after you get engaged and before you get married. Its important time to spend with each other and to know each other better. Nowdays, couples use this time to talk over phone for long hours, meet, date and have fun.... just to know each other better before they actually tie a knot.

Even I want to have a an arranged marriage with a long courtship period (of at least 2 years)
