i and my best friend rahul really like each other but the problem is that he never confess this. he does everything what I says him and also consider me as his best friend. he always used to become my partner in couple dance and always guide me as which guy is nice and which isn't becuz he cares for me. Everyone says that we are a couple but he says to our common friend that he don't wanna hurt me by coming in a relationship with me as he believes that our relationship someday might break. he's scared of this. he don't wanna loose me at any cost. how shall i make him understand that nothing like that will happen.

Basically here one thing is for sure that you love him. If I am not mistaken, you have proposed him also and if not, its time for you to do so. Once you have proposed him, you are done with your task. Now, leave everything on him to decide if he has the courage to get into a relationship with you, go against his parents( if they don't agree with you ) and live your life with you.

You should talk to him and tell him that you love him and being a girl if you are ready to fight for this relationship, then why can't he. Make him understand that he can do anything he wants provided he is ready for it. Loving someone is not a crime and if you guys are best buddies now, definitely it will be a very beautiful relationship for you guys in the future. So, all you got to do is, gather some courage for it and go for it.

If he still doesn't agree for it then don't get disheartened because you yourself don't know what exactly is his reason to not agree for the relationship. Only he knows what his family thinks about him and his future, what their mindsets are and how they take this GenNext relationships and what love actually means to them. You cannot force him to get into a relationship with you because these things have to be natural. All you can do is just talk to him and convince him to atleast gather some courage to accept that he loves you truly, being in a relationship is not that important than confessing your love for someone is.
If he really feels he is not made for love, then you know what you have to do. Since you cannot force him, you should let him go because try to understand, he is quiet mature and independent in his thinking and attitude and he knows what he is actually doing. So, may be his decision to get into a relationship with you is not wrong and may be you are not able to understand his reasons.

So whatever it is, respect his decisions and don't force yourself on him ever.
