I am a resident of Bangalore. Only son of my parents. 26 years old and working in a recreation management company. I am in a relationship with a girl since 2 years who is 4 years elder to me and she works in an IT firm.
She is also married and divorced once.But none of those aspects bother either me or her.

However, my parents are against our relationship due to the reasons mentioned above.
They are not ok with the fact that she is divorced.
Her divorce happened because her ex-husband was behind her money and used to demand a lot of things from her. She would buy him everything he asked for. But when she started refusing to his unreasonable demands, he couln't take it.
he applied for divorce and she unwillingly signed for a mutual consent. She was in a very bad state and devastated due to this. But, I was with her when all this happened and I saw the way she dealt with it. We were close friends then. Over a period of time, we grew closer and both of us were in love with each other within no time. She is a gem of a person and doesn't mind doing anything for people,if there is a good purpose. Due to this divorce she had lost hopes and trust in any human-being around her.
But now, she has gotten back to normal and coped up with a lot of efforts[...she says I am the reason for it].

However, I am confident enough to live a happy and fun filled life with her.
More importantly, I want her to be with me because we are a joint family and all my people will shower a lot of love once they accept her. It will definitely make a lot of difference for her and me in turn to have all of them around.
But, I am stuck in a difficult situation where my Parents are refusing to accept her due to her age and past.
They are being very stubborn and not even ready to listen to what I have to say about her..which is very depressing and drains out a lot of my energy.
I love her a lot and don't want to lose her at any cost.
At the same time, I don't want to hurt my parents who have given me this wonderful life.
Can you please help me handle this situation????
