Hi, I am very shocked by last couple of weeks events in my life. I am a 26 yr old Telugu girl in love with 27 yrs old Agarwal guy. We both are settled in our careers and are in relationship for last 4 yrs now. The guy is in USA working. After convincing his parents for last 2 yrs they had finally agreed to get us married and even talked to my parents regarding TILAK ceremony. My parents traveled all the way from Andhra to meet them but as soon as they met them the guys family rejected us and said they were never in for Inter Caste and called off the ceremony as well. They brain washed my boy who had promised me for a marriage and within a day he is asking me to discontinue the relation. I am completely heart broken. My parents r being supportive but I m not in a position to give up so easily due such outdated theories like intercaste. Please suggest.

First of all, I dont get any point here as to why would ua guy want to end a relationship this quickly, well, there might definitely be some pressure applied on the boy from his family, and I guess the guy is Marwari if m not wrong and if that is the case it is very hard to convince them for the intercaste marriage, as they always respect their caste more when mariiage matter is concerned.
For now, try asking your bf the reason of his sudden change of decision, and tell him that you will support him in any case till the end whatever the case might turn to be, 4 yrs is such a long tym and there might strongly be some reason why ua guy is asking u abt breakup.
Can u tell me more abt ua guy n u.....
