It may sound stupid but I have simple question, I am going to be father soon, this May.. I don't know it is boy or girl but I am going to be father. Please tell me what are the things I should be prepared to be a good father. I don't want to be too overprotective or don't want to look dumb either as father.. what complication I can face as a father . Do share you experience for this.

I really dont have a very solid answer to your question, Sir. It's a long way to go before I can experience this beautiful feeling.

However, in general I would say. Just take care of your wife, first. Prepare food, if possible. Do household chores and most importantly give her your time.
When you'll have your kid, weeks and months will pass by before you could grab a silent sleep at night, owing to obvious crying of baby at night. It's very important that you co-operate with your wife there. Allow her to take rest too and don't just expect her to hold the baby all night and make him/her stop crying.
Sometimes, wake up and do the honors. Its your child as much as it's hers.

Right from various medical tests, supplimentaries, proper post pregnancy care, baby food and shopping for baby, etc, you will play a very important role as a husband and a father.

Putting things simply, just try to practice patience and avoid any fights with wife. Understand, as a woman, she has to go through alot of things to give you life's most precious gift. So, try to stay calm and I am sure, you will come out as a very responsible, loving and caring father/husband.
