Apache RTR 160 Feul tank automatic switch off problem

Hi Guys!

I bought a Apache RTR 160 2 days back, My fuel tank was half-full (approx 6litres).
Yesterday when i was riding the bike , it got switched off on its own.

i was not even able to start my bike, then i changed it to reserve and drove the bike home. i went to the TVS service center and checked the fuel level, as i said my tank was half-full. They too were not able to explain why the bike got switched off when there was enough fuel.
yesterday i had this problem twice but today i didnt have that problem so far.

I know this is a wierd thing to happen but has anyone experienced such a thing before?
