Indian shares rose 0.9 percent in early deals on Tuesday, led by Reliance Industries (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) and banks, taking cues from the gains in global markets.
At 9:04 a.m. (0334 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.87 percent at 17,711.47 points.
The 50-share NSE Index .NSEI was up 0.9 percent at 5,279.90.
