Diabetes : Who is more likely to get disease from parents -son or daughter
Can anyone tell me that is father has diabetes will his daughter would be the first person to get it or son. I heard that daughter is more prone to get if father has it. Similarly if mother has son is prone to get. Is it so? And what are the chances of getting if you have it in your heredity?

well i completely disagree with Nupur above, this disease is more prone to Son than Daughter as told in Biology of 10th class
the girls carry X X chromosome and a Boy carry X Y chromosome ,so whenever the Boy is having diseases the Son will 100 % get it,and so as her daughter but in case of girls ,she can get the disease or she can be carrier but chance are 50% of getting the disease and 50% of not getting it ...so its sure that the Son will have diabetes when father has it
I have one example in my family my Chacha (uncle) is not having diabetes and so as my Chachi (aunty) but their son is having it My grandfather was not having any diabetes ,so it didn't came to him from paternal side ,it came from Maternal side ,as his Mother was carrier and their father was having diabetes

Contrary to the general image,
Men are more prone to diseases than women.
No doubt that more and more men die of heart attacks and diabeties than women (comparatively)
