What is svehost.exe? Is it safe or dangerous file for windows ?
I run windows xp and recently I found that there is unknown process svehost.exe running. I never saw it before so I searched for it and I got even more confused. I donno if it is safe file or useful file. Can I delete it ?
Some says its worm and other says its printer related file.

it is not a system file or program.Usually there are many trojan etc. who try to show themselves simlilar to svchost.exe which is important file of of windows. I assume you can delete it safely.

it is a system file which is related to our network and it is critical process.
now if try to terminate it it will not be terminated.
it should be in system32 folder and if it is in any othr folder then it is a trojan or a worm.
i got one such trojan which ran svehost.exe it did a great job by uploadin and downloading something i don't know it used about 500mb of my usage.
later i scanned my computer and deleted this trojan.
mcaffe don't detect it.

I agree that mcaffe has certain limitation in deleting latest set of virus file

The system file you are referring to is "svchost.exe" but here it is svehost.exe ie. almost looks similar.
