Is forceful marriage illegal?

Hello, I am Priya, 25 years old. I am in love with a boy who I want to marry, but my parents are against it as they are orthodox and say that he isn't of the same caste as us. They are so against that they've forcefully fixed my engagement with some other boy who I've never met! Since this marriage would be without my consent I just want to know if forceful marriage is illegal in India or not? Because if it is then I can warn them about it. I'm asking this because I'm very worried. Please help me soon.
