Did the 128kbps plan change....for the better?

I had that 128bps plan for the past few months....you now the unlimited connection Airtel was offering for Rs499 only, that scheme's been tossed out, but old users who subscribed to it can still keep it, I guess.

What surprised me is that for the past 10 days i have been getting almost double the speed. I used to get 8kbps but now i get 20, (don't ask me how i lived with that speed :-X, i used to count the chips of paint on my wall..... :'()

But this change in speed, made me really happy.......and my bill still stays the same........what gives? Did Airtel upgrade it base connection speed? The definition of broadband is after all any connection above 256 kbps...
