Hi.. A friend asked me to help him to connect his Samsung Champ 3303K phone to his PC, he had Samsung kies (samsung pc suite ) but whenever he tries to connect, computer sees the phone but Kies keeps on saying "Connecting the Device" .
I figured out that PC is detecting phone but its kies which is not working.
I have tried both PC Suite Mode and Mass storage but not help.

What is the OS you are trying to use Kies on ?
i am using Windows 7 64bit

Anyways, I heard that samung kies has problem . However, on net I found a solution, you may try it if it works for you :
Here
1. Open ‘Command Prompt’
2. Type in ‘cd c:\windows\system32′ in the command prompt window (or replace the c with whatever drive letter you use as your main drive, typically it will be C though)
3. Type ‘dir msxml*’ and enter in the command window
4. If there is not an ‘msxml6.dll’ file shown in the list, download the file from Download details: Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 and make sure to leave your command prompt window open, you’ll need it for later. Download the first file in the list at the bottom of the page called msxml6.msi and you have a 64-bit system download the bottom link called msxml6_x64.msi (if you’re not sure what system you have just download the first one)
5. Double click on the .msi file and it should do the rest.
6. Go back to your command prompt window and register the libraries by doing the following:
=> Type ‘ regsvr32 msxml3.dll’ and press enter in the command prompt
=> Type ‘regsvr32 msxml6.dll’ and press enter and you should see message "DllRegisterServer in msmxml6.dll succeeded" or something similar
7. Run Samsung kies and check if it is working properly.
Now try connecting phone and see now if can it detect or not !

The champ is not compatible with the kies. Only Samsung SmartPhone are supported.. To bad for us..

I have samsung champ...and when i try to connect it to samsung Kies..the kies fails to retrieve the information from device. however, on cell, DUN connection keeps arriving again & again... and i do accept it everytime...but still champ fails to connect with kies.
I have windows vista 32 bit version. I have latest Kies. please anybody help me out.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.

first go to control panel>devices and printers. There you will find in 'devices' group the model of your phone. If not then add manually. right click in the device (eg: c3303i) and select 'create a new dial up connection' and enter your desired dial-up number(specific dial-up nos. are there for specific n/w) . Now select the Bluetooth modem you want to use (eg: standard Bluetooth link #3). Dats it, a new connection will be created.
This method is for windows 7. Hope the same works for xp.

i'm using windows xp.
in samsung website it is noted that kies 2.0.2 is compatible with xp.
but i still face the problem that are mentioned above.

Try an older version of kies. v2.0.1.11053_99_3 version works with the champ, but the newest ones doesn't.
