HI John, I know about Tata Photon Whiz and Tata Photon Plus but I am not sure about Tata photon surf, anyways, If it is EVDO based then there are WiFi router which allows you to use 3G as internet connection and then share it on WIFi.
There are devices like this : D-Link 3G Mobile Router for EV-DO Networks which allows you to do so.
Aur alternatively, you can connect TaTA photon to your computer, enable internet sharing on computer and connect your Wifi router to that computer through LAN and now use your computer as internet gateway. I do this lots of time.
