BSNL to charge calls as Local Call with North Eastern States

BSNL to charge calls as Local Call with North Eastern States. North Eastern states can call within the state as Local calls and this rule will effect from 1 September, 2009.

BSNL also created a single billing Zone for the region before it there were three Licensed Service Areas (LSA) for the region.

From 1St september outgoing calls, SMSs and data charges and roaming will be charged as per the home LSA tariff while incoming calls on roaming will be free.
