BSNL 299 Combo plan speed upgraded to 512kbps from 256 kbps

Anyone noticed that speed of bsnl 299 Home combo plan has been upgraded to 512kbps from 256kbps. This is not a very good upgrade but upgrade is always upgrade. You know it is not a very good plan but its cheapest combo broadband plan. It gives 1GB download limit with 512kbps speed now.

Good step, I wish they had increased download cap limit too.

That is a good upgrade but still that plan is useless. Technically it is very costly plan and I think this is the reason they upgraded its speed. You can get 8GB with 149 recharge in Tata Docomo (ofcourse not 516kbps) but what is the use of 1GB with 516 kbps , you can eat 1 GB in 2 days with normal browsing at that speed.
