As mentioned above in my question that one of my colleague is going to sell it's Galaxy Y.Apart from the technical specifications i want to know whether it will be a right option to go with Samsung Galaxy Y or to go with Galaxy Y Duos. Please anyone here holds any information regarding my query then please do let me know.

I think if you're looking to buy a Dual Sim handset with slightly high powered resolution then you must go for Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, but if you want you're handset with Single SIM and powered with same specifications with a low price tag then you must go for Samsung Galaxy Y.
I like Samsung galaxy. It is more It is one of the handset you must have.
The basic difference in both the phone is dual sim capablity. If you need two sims at the same time you should go for duos but if money is concern and 1 sim is enough then galaxy Y is good enough. Camera resolution of duos is 3.15MP whereas that of Y is 2 MP. Battery standby time for Y is more than duos whereas battery talktime for duos is more than Y.
For lower price Galaxy Y is good among android phones with all the facilities
