LG Flatron E700S screen shrinking problem and blank Monitor screen

Hello,

I am facing problem in Monitor in my old pc, its screen slowly starts to shrink and eventually fades out and then there is blackout. I have core2due with 3GB RAM and I have Nvidia 9500gt card and this monitor is connected to this this graphic card.

The monitor starts working if I give it a thump on its back. What should I do , is it that problem with Monitor or problem with computer ?

My monitor is LG 17 inches LG FLatron E700S

Your Monitor is reaching end of its life. You may consider taking to service center to see whether they can do anything in it. But consider it that you have to buy a new Monitor.
