New Airtel Rupees 149 unlimited GPRS / Internet plan launched

There is a new internet plan launched by Airtel for its prepaid subscribers. This new plan offers Unlimited 2G internet usage for whole month for Rs. 149. The plan provides 2G speeds and after 2G GB usage, the speed will be capped to 40kbps however, you will never charged for any extra usage beyond 2GB.

So, it is an unlimited plan over 2G, you will enjoy full 2G speed (whatever possible over your network). Theoretically an EDGE network can give up speed to 284 kbps and normal GPRS can give download speed upto 80kbps, so depending upon GPRS technology provided in your area, you can get above speeds.

This is an useless plan, I don't understand what airtel thinks, there is nothing in this plan which I can attract me.
