looking fo ancestrial roots in india

hi

i am also looking for my ancestral roots in india , all that i know is that my grand father on my fathers side came from rander with the surname khan , on my mothers side my granny had the surname marmath from what i know now her family either came from kanam or hydrabad, any other leads will be appreciated especially if any body knows what will be the best way to trace records .
