IIFA Awards 2009: Macau Welcomes The Event

What can anyone say about Mr. Bachchan taking a Gondola ride after thirty long years? That’s exactly what happened in the beautiful city of Macau where the Indian Legend and IIFA Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan reached to promote the upcoming IIFA Awards 2009.

As always, IIFA weekend is a culmination of mega-events that highlights Indian Cinema to the entire world. It includes the high-profile FICCI IIFA Global Business Forum, the IIFA Fashion Extravaganza, world premieres of Indian films and the climax of the event, the spectacular IIFA Awards with breathtaking performances by celebrated stars of Bollywood.

The FICCI IIFA Global Business Forum 2009 will be held on 12th June 2009. This forum is an endeavour to bridge boundaries between India and China, the IIFA Weekend Host country. This will also be used to discuss further trade options between the two nations. On the business, bilateral economic and political issues, IIFA provides a dynamic global platform to the industry.

Her Excellency, Mrs. Nirupama Rao, Indian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Mr. K K Modi, Past President, FICCI, and Mr. M Damodaran, Former Chairman, Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) among others will be present as the Speakers and chairpersons at this year’s Business Forum.
