Regarding bike, first I want to tell you that always give preference to your choice, what you like matters more and after that look into that how can you get what you like but at best deal.
Bajaj Avenger is a good and tested bike and infact only true cruiser kind of bike from India. Go for it if you like it. Under proper maintenance and care, it would last for many years.
