i also hv the same plan i.e., unlimited Rs 599+ Rs 50(modem) but speed is not upto 1 mbps its only 256kbps.....can u just tell how r u getting this speed?

mtnl broadband sucks.i am also having same problem and complained thrice but no one to listen.
i applied for 512 kbps download and 512 upload speed but i got about only 340 kbps and upload 280 kbps only.
if check speed online at bsnl site you will get shocked ,it will show more speed for what you are paying.speedtest.net shows genuine results.
tell me your modem name and series and os you are using.
