I have a tata photon plus usb modem and a wifi router without a USB port, i can connect both of them to a PC. How do i link the tata photon plus to the router, so that i can use internet over wifi in my laptop?

Enable internet sharing for internet connection you create in PC through datacard, now connect your PC to wifi device. Again now connect your laptop to Wifi but in it give IP of your computer as gateway and DNS or simply set it to get it via DHCP but make sure your laptop shouldnot get IP of from WIFI device as they generally have dhcp enabled in them. Basically you need to little knowledge about networking concept and IPs.
