Leap Hybrid Concept Scooter by Hero MotoCorp
World leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has launched India's first concept hybrid scooter which is developed in association with a foreign consultant. “This is a first-ever series hybrid scooter from India. We are showing the rest of the world that we have arrived,” Hero MotoCorp Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Pawan Munjal, told reporters. This scooter is the first hybrid scooter which can run on both petrol as well as battery.
This scooter has been designed keeping in mind youngsters and is equipped with multi functional features. This Hybird scooter is expected to deliver around 100kmpl per liter of petrol. This is possible because it combines electric and petrol power. It is considered as one of the most fuel efficient scooters in India. The company is planning to price this scooter in a affordable range so that an average Indian can purchase it easily. The product was developed by a team of in-house R&D and international experts. Hero MotoCorp has applied for three international technology patents and nine international design registrations for this Hybrid scooter.This scooter will definitely prove to be a asset for a middle class Indian who has to fight it out with ever increasing fuel prices.
