Is BG PROTECT needed in every Yamaha Alpha scooty service?

I recently purchased a Yamaha Alpha scooty (white color) in Jaipur.
In the first service, the service center charged me 308 rupees for putting BG Protect oil in my fuel tank. Also charged me 222.71 rupees for YamaLube SL Mineral-10W-40-SCO and 50 rupees for YamaLube Scooter Gear Oil 100.

And again in the second service they charged me 350 rupees for BG Protect. Saying it will increase my mileage.

I am new to driving scooty, but wonder if these things are necessary to buy with every service?

What is this BG Protect , from what I see on internet, it is somekind of insurance for vehicles including engine parts but its not in India though.

Have you tried asking what is BG Protect and how it will increase mileage. Above all whey they have charged for BG protect in 3 parts ?

Yes, there are some lubricants which can be added to fuel but are useless and worthless. It will not affect anything noticeable other than making money to service center.
