Public Education in India

India needs to have facility for good education for our children. Why is it that in a state like UP govt. is spending lot of money on schools and yet for years teachers are not teaching properly, exams are not conducted properly, text books are not produced and published on time. Why can we not do all these things well. We have plenty of people willing to work. But most of the students register in colleges run by universities like Kanpur university. In most of these colleges, there is no teaching activity at all. Exams are conducted and a lot of copying is permitted. Nobody seems to be serious about stopping this and bringing about real change. Many of our people are poor and they are helpless when it comes to getting good quality education at affordable prices. If some one would like to run a good institution there is no encouragement from the govt. departments. They are corrupt and would not issue the necessary permits without getting bribes. What is a solution?
