Passport cancellation due to lack of proof of Current Address

I want to cancel my current application form for passport which is applied form the current address because i am not having any current address proof so i want to apply for the new passport application form my hometown. Please tell me the process.

It is simple, you have to first apply for closure of passport, then you will get closure report. After you receive closure report, you have to apply new passport. But you have to mention old passport closure file number and reason for closure. They may charge you Rs. 5000 penalty on asking for closure.
