I have TATA docomo SIM and I use it to surf internet but I would love to receive call also while I am using internet. Currently I have to insert SIM in phone to make calls. What if I can make calls using my PC only.. that would great.. but I am not able to find way to do tht. I have micromax 3G usb modem.
Modem can send and receive sms but there is no option to make calls. if any one knows how to make call using this 3G modem through PC then I will be highly obliged.

It depends upon your modem . Does your modem have a voice input jack ?
If you want to receive a phone calls during continue with internet connection, You put your Sim card in cell phone which must has 3G services, then connect the cell to your computer, then download a PC suite. By using it you can receive your call during use internet.
Then what is the use of this datacard, do you know if you use internet through mobile on PC, it will harm your phone battery as well speed are not fast as compared to datacard on pc.
The use of data card is to use internet connection in laptop or PC, but if you want to handle calls then you have to connect it with mobile or get a data card which allows calling feature. And for your kind information normally data cards are having HSDPA speed of 7.2 mbps which is same in mobile.
