What is average speed of Airtel 3G USB modem (HUAWEI-E 1731) if used in 2G area and how to test it ?
Are you going to use it with 3G recharge or 2G recharge ?

You will get 2G speed if there are not much user they you will get an average speed of 80kbps and they are many user then around 50kbps, maximum you can go 150kbps but thats rare, generally they cap it to 144kbps or less.
Presently I am getting an average speed around 20 kbps plus minus 10 kbps fluctuating. Airtel says, this speed is OK after optimisation. What is wrong ? Are they bluffing and I shall have to be satisfied with this ? Can I have ant authentic proof to call their bluff ?
Is it you are measuring in kbits or it is kbytes ?
