Acer has launched a new tablet Iconica A200 which is supposed to be a cheaper version of A500. It is expected to arrive in markets early next year. The new Iconica A200 is much thinner and lighter than A500.However there are no substantial difference from the earlier variant A500.


The technical specifications are very similar than that of its predecessor with the same Nvidia 1GHz Tegra processor, 1GB of RAM and a 2 megapixel front camera. The tablet comes with only 8 GB or 16GB of internal storage .While the predecessor A500 came with 32GB and a rear facing camera.It has a 0.9mm thinner and 45g lighter than the A500.The thickness measures around 12.4mm and it weighs around 720g. Android 3.2 Honeycomb and that an upgraded Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will arrive in January.It wil offer 8 hours battery life , a MicroSD card slot , WIFI and a full sized USB port.

The company is confident that A200 offers every needed facilities at a affordable price and is hopeful that it will capture the markets
