Royal Enfield has launched Thunderbird 500 at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi, this bike was much awaited for quite a some time by bike lovers across the country. As expected it is black in color and is powered by a 500cc unit constructive engine which will give it a power of 27.2 bhp. This bike is designed for people who love to hit the roads for long tours, a kind of cruiser bike.

The bike has a new black engine which gives it unique styling element. It also has a redesigned seat, extra safety measures such as new and improved locks. The pillion seat can be removed so as to accommodate more luggage for long rides. The handle bars has been improved to provide it's riders more comfortable ride. It also has a bungee point to tie luggage. Among these it also has a new foot pegs, new design mirrors and LED tail lamps which will have Royal Enfield logo embossed on them. It will also have two digital trip meters which will keep a track of total trip mileage and intermediate mileage. It comes with a 20 liter fuel tank. This bike is unique in terms of hazardous lamp which is yet to be found in any bike manufactured in India.
