Last year, Google had acquired Motorola Mobility in a multi-billion deal. Motorola Mobility, which was separated from the now-independent Motorola Solutions experienced heavy losses last year. Google said in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, "These changes are designed to return Motorola's mobile devices unit to profitability, after it lost money in fourteen of the last sixteen quarters". The website displays the following message ” We are streamlining our business and support systems and unfortunately. we’ll no longer have a dedicated website for India” . The support site is still active in case you have deal with repairs and other issues.

So, now there will be a centralized website for Motorola, which may be better for Google and Motorola, but will be awkward for consumers. Because there won't be dedicated sites, it won't be clear what products are available in what regions. Instead, there will be an asterisk on products that aren't available worldwide.

So they are going to shut up operation in India and will no more sell handset and other devices in India anymore or it simply means that they have closed regional websites, now will have one website with various sections for each country ?
