The GT will be first launched in the UK in September, followed by a launch in India about a month later i.e in October 2013.

The "Royal Enfield Continental GT" is powered by an all new refined engine with a displacement of 535cc. The design is somewhat similar to the 1965 GT250, but its 535cc engine is completely new. Changes are all about its low-set-clip handles, a longer fuel tank and the narrow seat only capable to carry rider whereas another seat in the optional case is also available. The highlights of this bike is its lightweight, double cradle structure that facilitates improved handling and stability. The Continental GT boasts of tyres from famous Italian manufacturer Pirelli and shockers from Paioli.

“We have said that this year we will have a total of 1.75 lakh units from two plants. Next year it will go up to 2.5 lakh units" said company personnel. This will lead the production of the bikes by the company to a hike of 40%. so, those who were waiting for a new model of bullet can get it by the October last and also now you have to wait for much less time to get the bike after ordering it.
