I have a issue today and I am not able to find solution. I have an excel spreadsheet created using microsoft excel 2007, since I am not expert in excel, I don't know much about it. All I am supposed to do is run a module code provided to me to find some special numbers from the records I have given. Now problem is that whenver I try to run that code, I get error :

The Macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros.

Now, help says that you have to close document and open again as macros enabled. So what I tried, I saved file as xlsm which is macro enabled spreadsheet but still I get same error. I remember I have done similar past successfully and I am again supposed to do it but now this error is creating huge problem for me.

Any excel guru there then please please help because online solutions I found are confusing.

I had happened once to a friend of mine, its very easy, whenever you open a document with macro disabled, MS office shows a a warning , there in options you can get it enabled.

It will show warning like following picture:
