Ghajini crosses the Rs 200 cr mark :

    Advert.
The Aamir Khan-starrer is the first Hindi film to break the record
On Wednesday, Aamir Khan's Ghajini became the first Hindi movie to gross Rs 200 crore at the box office worldwide.

The film grossed over 'Rs 162 crore in the domestic market and Rs 39 crore' overseas, The Times of India reported.

While the producer was evidently ecstatic, trade pundits were in the 'I told you so' mode.

"The film was strong from Day One. It has been galloping like a one-horse race and, in my estimate, it will cross the Rs-250-crore (gross) mark very easily," the paper quoted trade consultant Amod Mehra as having said.

Ghajini released with 1200 digital and analog prints across the country.

According to the paper, the film has also reportedly made Rs 4 crore from gaming rights, Rs 21 crore for satellite rights and Rs 10 crore for home video and music rights.

If all goes well, Ghajini might just overtake Gadar – Ek Prem Katha as the highest domestic Bollywood earner. In the overseas market, it is currently placed second with Karan Johar's Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna being number one.
