A lots of talk about windows vista...

yeh ... they say it hasthe wow!! factor... but its nothing special ... !!

So will also not consider updating to Vista ..

Well, I think you use LINUX if you want to be updated with technology.. Thats more dependent on user's feedback and contribution.

any operating system is not successful if it's slower than others. im hardly disappointed with vista performance
