    Seagate ST3500418AS detected as ST350010AS hard drive : Help !

    Advert.
    I just bought my new 5o0 GB hard disk and when I plugged into my PC, in my windows XP it is detected as ST3500410AS but sticker on the hard drive shows it as ST3500418AS.
    What is the problem ? Can I use it or I need to do something ? or Am I being cheated ?

    It is alright until your hard drive is working.
    I have had bad experience with Seagate so I wish you good luck with this drive !
