Looking for my ancestrial roots in India-Searching Lost Family

    Advert.
I am a south African. My grand dad came to South Africa in 1860 on board the M/V SS Truro. He was 9 years old at that time. Unfortunately, he used to only correspond with his family in India..so we have we have lost all ties. I'm hoping someone reads this and possibly can assist with locating the names and addresses of people on that ship. Hopefully this will help me collect my resources and find my link. thanking you.

Re: Looking for my ancestrial roots in India

Intersting, I have moved this question to appropriate section.

However, if you can give more details ie. which harbour / state it left India then can narrow it down.

    Namasthe.
    Thank you for your reply.

All we know is that the ship ie SS Truro left Madras. It called at Durban Harbour in south Africa.

Sorry, that's all the information I have with your request.

Thanking you once again in advance.
