A new GSM service "S tel " announced in India by Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) which is joint venture by Siva Group and BMIC.

S tel will distribute their products to consumer door step through Non Traditional channels and this channel insurance agencies, cable operators, courier services and Ground Panchayats which help them to characterize large number of customer interaction.

S tel launched 2 tariff plan - 1P/sec and 50 p/min and both the tariff plan and both applicable for STD and Local outgoing calls.

S tel also offering VAS - which enable customer to get daily updates on stro forecasts, Bollywood, Cricket,devotion (Gita, Bible, Gurbaani,), career and education, beauty and so on.

S Tel GSM service will first launch in Himachal Pradesh and than other states.
