ndian shares rose 0.3 percent in early trade on Monday, tracking gains in Asia, with auto stocks leading the gains on robust December sales numbers.



At 9:04 a.m. (0334 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.26 percent at 17,509.67 points, with 27 components advancing.

The 50-share NSE Index .NSEI was up 0.2 percent at 5,213.30.
