Right Yaaa Wrong: Hindi Movie Review

Usually when we hear that the movie has Sunny Deol as a star cast, we usually think twice maybe thrice before even thinking about seeing the film especially since his last few films have been disastrous. But this one might be just what he needs to get himself back in action.

Ajay (Sunny Deol) and Vinay Patnaik (Irfan Khan ) are two cops in Goa. Ajay is loved by all and has his own conceptions and notions about law and order and believes in giving a change to the criminals to reform themselves. Now Vinay is someone who follows the book rule and is not so much in the limelight like Ajay. Both are friends, but have the seeds of rivalry sown deep into themselves.

Ajay is married to Anshita (Esha Gopikar) and has a child with her. Anshita is a interior designer by profession. An incident takes place and Ajay wants Anshita to kill him, why and for what and will Anshita kill him or not is shown brilliantly in the film. But Anshita gets killed in the process and the blame comes on Ajay, Vinay is too happy to believe this turn of events, however his sister Vidya (Konkona Sen Sharma) has different ideas and fights for his innocence.

For once, Sunny Deol has played his act without to much screaming and shouting, in fact he has underplayed himself. Irfan khan is a dream to watch, the way he acts from beginning to end, clearly steals the show. Konkona’s entry is powerful and so is her character and the courtroom performances that she does with élan. Esha as the modern adulterous wife has performed well. Director Neerraj Pathak shows immense potential and has held the story with conviction. The publicity has been done poorly and the songs to don’t help. But that minor setbacks. This thriller will surely be Right to watch.
