Jaane Kaha Se AAYI Hai: Hindi Movie Review

JKSAH is Milap Zaveri’s directorial debut and is sprinkled with comedy which is very much the flavour of the season. At least it is a decent effort and way better than Aladdin.

It is a story of Rajesh (Ritesh Deshmukh) a Gujrati boy and loser in life wanting love ever since he is born. He is friend’s with loser no 2 Kaushal (Vishal Malhotra) . Ritesh leads a protected life and his parents are the ever delightful Satish Shah and Supriya Pilagoankar. He loses his heart to assistant film director Sonal Sehgal ,who looks at him as a mere friend and nothing more. Our story takes a turn when enter TARA (Jacqueline Fernandise) from Venus, a alien in search of love comes to Earth for two days and three nights. Ritesh and Vishal become her guide during this trip to Earth and help her find love in the superstar film star Desh (Ruslan Mumtaz) whom every girl wants to marry and who tries to woo her continuously.

The first hour of the film will keep you entertained but it’s the second hour that lets the film down. The film could have taken a entirely new track and would really have been out a world love story, but somehow we earth lings want to do everything the usual way.

The film has lots of comedy and will keep you laughing, if you do decide to go, the acting of Ritesh Deshmukh keeps improving and he also proves that he can do emotional sceans well as well. Jacqueline has improved and looks comfortable in this film and Vishal Malhotra is superb and contributes enormously in making the proceedings lively. Farah Khan and Satish Shah are excellent. Supriya Pilgaonkar does well too. Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Sajid Khan and Amrita Rao make special appearances in the film.

Not a unusual love story and certainly not out of the world or the thinking box either.

Overall Rating: 2.5/5 stars.
