Sachin Tendulkar became the record holder of world's highest run scorer in test cricket. He breached the mark of 11953 runs set Brian Lara. He achieved this on first day of second test match against Australia.
In 152 Test matches, Tendulkar averages 54.23 and has 39 centuries and 49 half-centuries to his credit. His highest score is 248 not out against Bangladesh. He could have broken the record in first match against Australia but he was dismissed at 49 runs, short of 14 runs to break the record.
Tendulkar already owns the run-scoring record in one-day internationals, as well as the most centuries in both forms of the game. Also, Sachin has no plan to retire soon so think this record as one of the greatest record as soon it will become even more strong.
Congratulations to Sachin Tendulkar.
