UMBAI, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Indian shares edged higher after opening lower on Wednesday, led by gains in Reliance Industries (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) and tracking a rise in Asia.
At 9:56 a.m. (0426 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.19 percent at 16,471.08 points, with 15 components advancing.
Reliance Industries was trading 0.5 percent higher at 2,062.35 rupees.
The 50-share NSE index .NSEI was down 0.1 percent at 4,876.65.
